Forgot to post the answers to the music thing yesterday. Well, actually, I forgot to do anything except sleep. This cold kicked my butt, but here they are: )

Game night this Friday

Game night was cozy and fun the first Friday last month; and boisterous, crowded, and fun on the third Friday. We're going to keep doing this until the neighbors get a cease and desist order. :-) However, we're skipping the 3rd Friday this month, because [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal & [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy will be out of town.

On the first Friday of the month, it'll be at my place in North Oakland; on the 3rd Friday, it'll be at [livejournal.com profile] stonebender's place in San Leandro. More details at http://serenejournal.livejournal.com/1010443.html -- hope you can come!

October's date is the 3rd -- the scheduled game night on the 17th has been cancelled.

We have a teenager, so if you have another disaffectoid -- er, I mean teen -- who might want to play board games, or hop on my computer and join her in World of Warcraft or something, bring 'em along. Just let me know if they want to do WoW the day before, because I'll need to download the thing.

If you know me, you know I'm a late adopter. I didn't get online until 1998. I got my first cellphone a year or two ago. And now, I've "discovered" podcasts.

Favorite podcasts, please? So far, I've got NPR concerts running, and I'm about to download the Skeptoid episodes. Any other suggestions? I dislike "talk radio", but I love news and interview shows. I love folk music, world music, rock music, and weird eclectic stuff.

[livejournal.com profile] autographedcat, you told me about a science-fiction story podcast, I think -- can you remind me about that?

Okay, instead of working, I spent the night adding podcast feeds (66 of them!) to my music player. I suck, but I am happy. :-)
