Two years running, I missed RJ/RA's birthday party for one reason or another. This year, I made a lovely quinoa salad (no gluten) and as I was carrying it outside in its lovely porcelain bowl, I twisted my ankle, dropped the bowl, and fell onto the shards of porcelain. That was around 4pm. I got released from the ER at 10pm, with 8 stitches in my hand. *sigh*

I was really looking forward to seeing everyone.

Poor you! I hope you make a rapid and full recovery. No such hope for the salad, sadly, or the bowl ... may you find an even lovelier replacement for the bowl though.
