I could make a full-time job on the low-fat-vegan boards I have started to frequent of reminding people that fat doesn't equal not-healthy, and that it's possible to work on improving health at any size. It's been two days since I joined, and it's already been (not gently) suggested by one of the members that I don't belong there if I don't agree that isachandra is not a good spokesperson for veganism because she's some gross fat blob (I'm paraphrasing, but not by much). Fuck that. I made a new usericon for the boards (same as the icon for this post), and I don't plan on making myself any LESS annoying in the near future. I wouldn't say I'm enjoying it (I do have feelings, after all), but I'm glad I'm there, because some people don't even notice they're being bigots if no one points it out.
