Where did we meet? alt.polycon in San Diego.

How long have you known me? I'm bad with time, but in terms of events, although we'd been in similar spaces online for some time, a little while after alt.polycon in San Diego you came up on conversation in IMs a few times with various people who I usually think of as good judges of people and I found that you were pretty widely respected, so I thought that maybe I should re-evaluate my opinions, since they weren't formed on very much actual contact, and I'm glad I did because I was mistaken and I found you to be a really good person. So at a rough guess, since maybe six or eight months after San Diego in terms of really getting to know you? I remember often wishing I'd gotten to know you better before San Diego.

When is the last time that we saw each other? I don't think we've actually been in the same physical space since then that I recall offhand. I hope I'm not forgetting something. I know there have been some near misses.

Do I drink? I don't *think* so.

Do I smoke? No.

Do I do drugs? Again, I don't think so.

Am I happy? Yes!

What was your first impression of upon meeting me/seeing me? I thought you were aloof.

Have you ever made me smile ... if so when? I'm not sure! We've not spent much time face to face.

Am I shy or outgoing? In a way, both. You can be shy and you're introverted -- you require lots of recharge time to be social. But you're also not guarded with your feelings or opinions and you can be very demonstrative with the people you care about or in situations in which you're comfortable and have energy.

Am I a rebel or do I follow the rules? A rebel who mostly follows the rules? Like, I don't see you breaking rules just for the sake of breaking them, and a lot of the things you do that are unconventional are nonetheless working with or within the system, but I also don't think you let arbitrary rules bother you if you think they're wrong.

Do I have any special talents? Caring for others?

I keep hoping *someone* would bring a satellite phone, but barring that, I suppose if you brought a big supply of chickpeas then it would both be a bit more "you" and we wouldn't have to worry as much about where to find protein.
