A decision I reached today is to remove from my reading list anyone who posts about being fat, gaining weight, etc., like they're of course bad things. I will still let those people have access to my journal, but I don't need to be reading that shit. It's bad for my blood pressure (not really; my blood pressure is fine, but it pisses me off, and I don't want to be pissed off, nor do I want to be blasting people in their journals). Addendum to the decision: if it's a person I'm close to, I'll talk to them about it first.

I have a "I don't talk about dieting or standard weight topics" rule on my journal. You can read me safely!

Cool, and besides, yours is one of the best things I read, so even if you suddenly went all fatphobic on me, I'd probably talk to you first. I don't want to lose your input on my reading lists.

(I totally owe you email, too, and I will try to be a better grown-up and get to that, but the basic answer is "Write what you wish people in our circles would know about the situation there, in whatever form works for you, and I'll pay you not-a-lot-of-money to do it.")

I really enjoy reading your journal! I hope that i am not one that has upset you, because i don't really talk about gaining/losing weight/dieting.In my opinion, no one has to be a certain way...I think everyone should be comfortable, and whatever makes them comfortable works for me =)

hAHAHA. Sorry, i began to rant :P

*nods* So far, I feel comfortable only removing campaigning blogs or people whose personal journal consists of little else, but I may go further eventually.

I had some fantastic friends pull me out of a cycle of weight-despair, and I've never looked back—you won't hear a meep from me on the subject!

On LJ I put such journals in a filter I don't read often. I would probably do the same thing that you're doing on DW, since there aren't any reading filters yet.
