Sunday

Me, to [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy: "Is it okay if I just spend the whole day naked?"

Him: "Sure!" [pause] "Wanna go for a walk?"

:-)

So he's left for his walk, and I immediately put on some Nanci Griffith. Doing the housework in the nude. Boppin' to "Flyer". Feeling like the Month O'Hermitage* is already a good, good idea. :-)

* Also known as the Month O'Solitude, the Month O'Cocooning, and the Month O'Misnomers

"I immediately put on some Nanci Griffith." I must confess that I had a brief vision of you walking around wearing a few CDs.

I hope the Month of Solitude is wonderful.

Hee! I admit I feel I could roll around in her music like McScrooge in money sometimes.

That's the only reason I don't spend the whole day naked--because it would put a crimp in walking around outside, and it's better for me to get out in daylight at least briefly. But I took my clothes off when I got back from lunch and shopping (exciting things like a can of beans, toilet paper, and valerian).

We usually take two (one-to-four-mile-each) walks a day, but I decided to bypass the noon walk for housework, and then I'll probably put on some clothes and go walking when the sun goes down and it's a bit cooler out.

(most days, I stay dressed most of the day so that if I need to bop outside and take out the trash, or if I need to answer the door, it's not a production to find something to wear.)

Mostly I just grab what I was wearing last. As for the door, either I'm expecting them, or I'm willing to go over and say "I'm not dressed" and either talk to them that way or go get clothing (if I want to talk to them at all--I chase away proselytizers and door-to-door electricity salesmen even when I'm clothed).

Um, door-to-door electricity salesmen?

Really.

They were wandering around, trying to convince us to start buying our electricity from them instead of our current supplier (still to be delivered by Con Edison over the same wires). Even if I'd been looking to switch, I didn't trust them.

I do love that song, it's right up there with "Gulf Coast Highway" which may be my *favorite* of hers. :)

So hard to pick a favorite, isn't it? I love "It's a Hard Life Wherever You Go", and "Inconvenient Time", and "I Wish It Would Rain" and "Wing and the Wheel" and and and and and!

My house is usually full of male teenagers, many whom I'm not related to, so I don't often go nude. More to the point, my breasts are uncomfortable when they're not supported. They swing around it a way I get annoyed with, and they get sweaty where they lay against my chest. Bleh.

On the up-side, my partners admire my breasts as attractive femaleness and sex objects, and I like them because they are a part of my body and have been with me for a long time; old war buddies, me and my boobs.

Naked is my preferred home apparel. I'm glad we can go in our backyard naked too. Glad your Month O'Solitude is getting off to a good start.

Our freedom to walk around the house naked is somewhat hampered by our new addition. Summer (shepherd/lab mix who lived in a shelter for 4.5 years) is freaked out by naked people. She heads for her crate when I get naked to shower in the morning, which isn't too bad, but she barks, growls and lunges at MC. Scary.

SOG is so funny. He's very quick, isn't he?
Yeah, clothes--so overrated.

He's hilarious. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, he has me in stitches. Not literally, because that would probably be a dealbreaker, but y'know. :-)
