Eating green-papaya salad + Power snuggling with sweetie + Going to sleep with an untreated headache = Waking up at 1am from apocalyptic dreams with a *massive* headache.

Poor Baby. When I wake up with a headache, I know I will have it most of the day. I very much hope that is not true for you.

One way (along with ibuprofen) that I would treat it was a very long, very hot shower. I would lay down in the tub, turn off the light and let the water beat down on me. I don't know if it was the white noise of the water or the steam (probably both), but after 45 minutes or more (1.5 hours was the longest)I would emerge in the state of "if I don't move my head suddenly it wouldn't hurt." The other treatment was go to bed with an ice pack on the area of pain, usually falling asleep.

I think the aspirin/water/snack helped. I wish I could take a shower, but someone sleeps in the room just above our bathroom, and I don't want to wake her. I'll wait until morning. Rather, until the next time I wake up. :-)

When I wake up with a headache, especially a massive one, it's usually a migraine.

I am very thankful that I'm not getting as many migraines this year as I did last year.

OUCH

Hopefully you will be in less pain soon. I often get headaches but luckily they are more light and annoying as opposed to massive.Hang in there!

May the pain subside soon.

Is the green-papaya salad a factor, or merely a circumstance?

Power Snuggling?

I think I'd like a clarification on power snuggling.

Hee.

Well, it started as snuggling, anyway.

Oh, man! If I don't treat a headache before bed, I always wake up with a massive one, so I can feel your pain. (What I have this morning is not a headache but migraine visual effects--I've never had a migraine, but I get the visual effects part once every few months.)

*gentle hug*

The visual effects are a migraine, as I understand it, just without the head pain.

Thanks for the hug. I'm so glad this wasn't a migraine. I'd still be down. Usually lasts three days when I get it.
