Personally, I think that once a woman decides she's definitely not having children, her body should stop menstruating.

Doesn't that seem fair to you?

*sighhh*

I am so totally with you on that.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Yes. But then, I am also frustrated because I feel that being fat should mean that you don't have to get so damn hungry if you happen to run late for a meal. Stupid bodies, inefficiently designed!

Yes! And If I don't get enough sleep today, it shouldn't matter, because I slept two hours extra a few days ago!

I remember feeling that way. Right now, my dudgeon is higher for the non-T transmen I know; I really don't think they should be menstruating.

Excellent point!

I totally agree. No menstruation, but still provide all the necessary hormones to keep us healthy, damn it!

yeah, one of my sweeties just stopped menstruating after a few months on T, and it was really hard for him for the years before he went on T. it's such a disconnect.

I, personally, think you have an excellent idea.

I so very much miss the Depo Provera that I was on many moons ago. *sigh* Stupid side-effects.

Ditto that for the progesteron mini-pills I used to be on. No periods for two years, yay! If only the side-effects hadn't been worse than having periods...

Exactly! The no periods for the two years was an absolute dream. The change in personality that I experienced and the depression, not so much.

I still remember how I felt when I came out from under the fog and back into the real world. It was amazing.

Hell yes. Any ideas on making that happen, short of surgery?

I actually enjoy menstruation. I've been told I'm weird.

Most of the time, I don't mind it, and sometimes I actively enjoy it. Today was not one of those times. :-)

I'd go further: When a woman decides she's definitely not having children any time in the next N years, her body should stop menstruating until then.

Absolutely. Of course, then I would never have reached menarche, but that would have been fiiiine.

I'm with you on that one. If I'm not actually using my fertility, I don't need a monthly reminder.
