US-centrism ahead

Thank you to dreadgeekgrrl for the link to the transcript of Obama's speech in South Carolina. It gave me goosebumps. I like this guy more and more.

(I'm not a Democrat, and I don't think Clinton is a bad choice, either. That said, whoever the Democrats choose to run for President, I'm going out and supporting, with my time and money and energy. We do need change, and we need it now, not in eight more disastrous years.)

Thank you for linking that in your journal. I hadn't read it and it made me tear up a little. I had been liking him a lot, but now even more. He publicly says he loved SC instead of mocking us with our many problems; he doesn't pander to the strong religious right in the upstate; he uses our state motto in his speech (dum spiro spero--while I breathe I hope). He has my vote.
