It's International No Diet Day. Eat something yummy and think of me; I'll do the same for you. :-)

Ooh, what a great challenge. I'm starting with imported raspberries and goldfish crackers while waiting for my pasta to cook.

How does a slice of vanilla angel food cake dunked in sugary coffee sound? 'Cause that's totally what I had for breakfast.

Coffee cake!

Hm. Now I want coffee cake. Well, I guess I have to have coffee cake, then, don't I? :-) I think I even have all the ingredients. Hmm.

um, i had a "tortilla chicken salad" in which the chicken and tomatoes were the same texture.

i did think of you, though.

[big grin]

When I saw this post, I was just starting lunch (Alfredo! Pasta! Yummers!).

And now, I'm thinking of you during this bite, even. Yay!

Mmmmmmm, raspberries and pasta. (We won't discuss the goldfish crackers. I'm sure some people think they're food. :-)

Well I was thinking of making a chocolate cake anyway...
I had lots of yummy fruit earlier - a plum and 2 peaches cut up, and some grapes, filling a plastic box for taking to work.

Mmmm, peaches. They're just starting to get good here, but they're not yet at their summery best.

Can I have your share of the goldfish crackers if you don't want them? :)

I'm not sure [livejournal.com profile] hobbitbabe was planning on sharing with me, but if she was, I don't think she'll mind if I give them to someone who actually (*shudder*) likes the things. :-)

I like them sometimes.

I am actually eating the Cranberry Sunshine trail mix that i posted an LJ poll about earlier. There are not nearly enough almonds in it.

Ooh, the label tells me it is "premium" cranberry sunshine.

Just got home from work. Currently snacking on roasted garlic spread on three seed bread with fresh basil and a tiny sprinkle of sea salt.

And drinking iced raspberry earl grey tea.

Life is glorious.

I suppose I did things a bit backwards, I had lunch first, *then* I read this post.

Pastrami Rueben for lunch. Definately anti-diet-food. Delicious.

My 2 year old and I shared a giant salad with an assortment of organic greens, kidney beans, cucumbers and grapefruit sections with a sweet-ish citrus vinaigrette. It was yummy. To me it's a big deal to eat salad because I like it and not as part of a diet.

I have to make another batch of food props for the play I'm in tonight. So that means fresh, home-made lemon squares and panna cotta. Something tells me that's what I'm having for dinner tonight. (-:

I shall, of course, think of you.

I'll have a slice of pie for you later. :-) And possibly also one for me.

I just *knew* there was a reason why I chose to eat a chicken and mushroom pie and chips (fries) at the pub tonight instead of choosing something "healthier"! ;-)

Think of it as really excellent ice cream without the "ice" part (but not melted.) Or sweet-cream Jell-O, but that doesn't sound as appetizing. (-:

Very much so, silken-texture-wise - but with no eggs. (The recipe is in my foodblog (http://marketcook.wordpress.com/)). Not vegetarian, because of the gelatin. But fabulous.

i had chestnut paste cake for breakfast, and now i am savouring a perfect guava (perfect for me -- soft in the centre, still hardish on the outside). and i am definitely thinking of you!

jam

With your post in mind, I had cherry preserves for dinner. Spooned them right into a bowl, and ate them straight :) (I've been ill, and when I'm ill I crave rich dark fruits, probably through some partially-realistic idea that the antioxidants they're packed with are Much Needed.)

Friend dropped by, and seeing my bowl of cherry jam, went to the fridge. She had a bowl of black raspberry jam for dinner. Then she had some strawberry jam for dessert.

How's that for definitely-not-on-the-diet?
Do we win?

YUM. I don't actually know what golden syrup tastes like, but I have to buy some to make Anzac biscuits for [livejournal.com profile] stonebender, so I'll know soon. You are a corrupter, you are. :-)
