A while back, y'all helped me raise $300 to help with food and tuition for
the new teenager. One of you even bought $150 worth of my books to donate
-- they're going to a school in Africa. Thank you all!

I'm going to keep selling my books until they're gone, and then I may
start on my CDs. Please take a look if you want. The tags contain the
price and usually a note about the condition of the book. This time
around, shipping is a flat $2, no matter how many books you buy.

If you want any of the books, comment here or send me an email, and I'll
write back to let you know which ones are still available (in case someone
else wrote first). I'll remove the books from the list as they sell.

My goal: empty bookcases, no loans from mom, who can't afford it any more
than I can.

Simone de Beauvoir, for baby Simone here? ;)

(And if it would help -- maybe raise the price a dollar or two -- you could certainly get your BBE2 signed by one, if not two (IIRC) of the authors. ;) )

Can you please explain how to read the prices?

Okey-dokey! I should be home from my volunteer job around 5:15, and then we have dinner at 7. *hugs*

Hmm...this reminds me -- I don't recall getting an invoice for the ones I dibsed last round...

But you only owe me $18. :-)

Oh, my gosh, I thought I already sent those out. Please forgive me. I'll check the shelf and write to you tonight. Yeesh, and I was so proud of keeping track of everything. *chagrin*

Well, it's possible you sent them, but I don't recall paying you, and I've not received them.

Sure! $1. $3 if you want it delivered, but I can give it to you at 2nd Sunday if you'll be there.

Sure. The tags have numbers in them. .5 means 50 US cents. There's nothing that's more than 5 dollars, so the rest are 1-5 for $1 through $5.

(Oh, and the BBE is sold already, and I believe the buyer is also one of the authors. :-)

No, they're right here. I'm sorry. I'll send them out to you in the next batch, free of charge. (It was only $3 anyway. :-)

I think I'd go for Madhur Jaffrey's World-Of-The-East cookbook and the Tassajara bread book. I also recently found a bunch of books I'm borrowing and I think "My Favorite Horror Story" was yours, so I'll probably buy that too (unless you'd prefer something else to happen with it).

IIRC, it was $3 + shipping, and the shipping is the part I was waiting to hear on. I don't mind the delay; I've got plenty to read as is. :)

Oh, no, the horror-story book was a gift. $6 please, if you're up for picking them up. $8 if you want them mailed. Just let me know which.

Well, then, I'd still be happy to send them for free, or if you prefer, you can send me a total of $5 -- this sale has a reduced, $2-flat-fee shipping rate for simplicity's sake. Paypal serene@serenepages.org, or mail a check to my address at your convenience. (If you don't have it, drop me an email.) I'll send them out within the next couple of days. Thanks for your patience!

Done. You don't charge enough ;)

We're going to cook some great food, and I'm going to get to re-read P&S; Patchworkkitten hasn't read it, I don't think. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks!

I figure it's about yard sale prices, and it saves me from having to have a yard sale. :-)

I bought P&S for my first wife, and we broke up before I could give it to her. There's a lot of love in that book. :-)

Hey there- we talked about the mc dougal books and the millenium cook book, and I haven't seen them. I'd still like them if they are still available.
