We watched the returns at the home of friends who were Obama volunteers in the primary phase. I brought them flowers to acknowledge that they believed when I was sure it was impossible.

Where I live, election day is a "teacher work day" and there is no school. My oldest has been to every election with either me or my husband. I don't recall whether the youngest has been, he's been too young to be vocal till now (he's not in grade school yet).
