My first-ever-in-my-whole-life two-week paid vacation starts now. :-) It would have started at noon, when I left work, but first I had to:

1) Go to Kaiser and get a thyroid ultrasound
2) Go home and shower and eat
3) Go to my old doctor and get a copy of my records because he hadn't sent them to Kaiser yet
4) Go back to Kaiser and see my doctor about the new hip/back pain (he's assuming bursitis, and putting me on naproxen; he'll send me to orthopedics if that doesn't work)

But NOW, I begin my first-ever paid vacation. I shall commence by eating some zucchini and finishing 84 Charing Cross Road.

Yay for the vacation and sympathy on the suspected bursitis. I have that problem too. but have been too stubborn to try more than Alieve yet. I wasn't doing anything for it at my last yearly physical, so my doctor sail try that, then come back for something else it the Alieve wasn't sufficient. It does help, but maybe not enough.

I saw a bumper sticker today that said "I believe in life BEFORE death". If we want the energy to live a really good life, we need to take care of the pain. Go, hon. Maybe they'll have some ideas.
