Happy things, days 10 and 11 of 8

Yesterday's happy things:

1) I really like my new GP
2) I was able to get my medical records for him, finally
3) I think he's going to take my pain seriously
4) I read my medical records, and the long journey to "you have a perfectly healthy heart" is documented there, and made me feel healthy and good
5) End of work; beginning of vacation
6) Several long phone calls from wtfpotatoes, including lots of iterations of "I misses you!"

Today's happy things:

1) My boyfriends!!
2) TIME with my boyfriends!!!!!!!
3) Grilled cheese sammiches
4) Craptastic movies like "Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.", starring -- yes, you guessed it -- David Hasselhoff!
5) We're not getting a cat
6) Or a 20-foot-long python
7) Or a guinea pig
8) A couple more long phone calls from wtfpotatoes, who has made up with my mom, it seems, and that's *really* good.
9) First full day of vacation, spent vacationing
10) I have figured out how to get my required six to seven hours of sleep every night: Stay in bed for ten to twelve hours. I don't *want* to spend twelve hours a day in bed, but if it means I wake up in the morning and I don't feel like a psychotic maniac who is destined to chew off the faces of my loved ones (yeah, that's a bit of an overstatement), then I'm good to go.
11) Friends and family who are totally supportive of my need to spend twelve hours a day in bed

I note, in case a separate hypothetical future guinea pig happens to wander along, that andres_s_p_b can give good advice about the keeping of guinea pigs. If requested, he may also be able to provide good reasons not to keep guinea pigs, although he does like them quite a lot so will need to be carefully briefed on which side of the argument he's supporting.

:-) Guinea pigs meet the criteria she has to work with (no cats -- allergies; no dogs; something that can be confined to a cage that's reasonably small; no snakes that will grow to 20 feet, though smaller snakes are acceptable; etc.), but she met one at a pet store and it stank, and it bit her, so she changed her mind. We'll see. She may just have to wait a year until she's 18 and has a place of her own.
