I'd have voted for the middle one if she were clearer. Can't see the salt pouring! But she looks wrong to me on the white background.

The little blond girl seems more distinctive somehow.

[livejournal.com profile] someotherguy and I think #3 looks happier, but the other two look more... determined?

I voted for the third one mainly cos it's the one that is scanned best. You can't really see the salt in the other two.

i prefer the 2nd for the dark and her hair, but you can't see her salt.

That's why I like #1 (#2 is too dark) - #3 looks like she doesn't have a care in the world, but the other two look very purposeful. I guess it just depends on which kind of attitude you're looking for in your Morton salt girl. :)

Also, #1/2 are the design I'm familiar with. I drive past the Morton Salt building in Chicago from time to time, & #1 is the logo on the building.

The middle one is too blurry. I like the first one a little better because the third one's umbrella doesn't actually seem to be stopping the rain.

I may be at a disadvantage viewing the images in the tiny iPhone screen, but #3 appears to be more old fashioned, the salt is most visible and her dress and body feel more carefree.

#3 reminds me most of your optimism and hair.

viewing on a full screen, and looking up the images, I am even more in favor of #3.

this page shows the evolution of the girl:

and here's another article, which starts out in some abstract notions but once it gets to describing the different pictures of the salt girl, gets into some interesting details, ending with this quote:

Q. Do you mean to suggest that the image on a container of Morton salt represents a woman of indeterminate age who has just engaged in sexual intercourse?

A. I didn’t realize the point was contested.
