Mar. 9th, 2009 10:54 pmThe text post I sent, but it never arrived (I think maybe it's permanently broken): "Does anyone know where I can trade in this week on a new one? I think this one is defective."
The kid's temporary crown fell off after a day and a half. She's decided to just wait until the permanent one comes in, rather than going to the dentist and getting another temporary. So now I get to hear her slurp and whine, but at least she's not crying, so that's good.
I got to work at 9 today (slept off the time change), looked at my calendar, and rushed off to the doctor's appointment I had forgotten was in the morning, not the afternoon. Got there around 20 minutes early. Well, 24 hours, 20 minutes. :-( It's tomorrow. Went back to work, and got in two hours before going home.
But then I slept. And then I made massive quantities of LID-friendly pesto. And a big salad with onions and toasted walnuts and a red-wine vinaigrette that's not as good as
loracs's, but is still good.
Totally exhausted, and really ready for an easy week.

Date: 2009-03-10 09:06 am (UTC)I seem to recall (from a time that I had a temporary crown come off while waiting for a permanent one) that you do not have to go back in to the dentist to affix the temporary one back on, necessarily. Seems like there was some adhesive stuff you can just pick up at any drugstore, and put the temp one back on yourself.
(Oh, although, I suppose that's not any kind of possible solution for that if the temp crown got lost.)
