So don't click the link if you're on dialup or otherwise don't want to see two fairly big images side by side, but between deciding to learn to use a real graphics program to edit my cover, and taking all y'all's advice, I think I made a pretty huge improvement in the magazine cover. The colors are MUCH better, in my opinion. Let me know if you can see it, too.

Much better, cleaner, brighter and more *pop* where the colors should pop. The lettering is also nicely improved. The cream color is warmer and more assertive on the otherwise busy background where the white as just getting a little lost.

Oh yes - very nice improvement. The graphic is crisper, I think. At least, the first image makes me think that my contacts aren't quite right; the second is nice and clear. And I agree with the comments about the new title format.

yup, definitely better! the text is much more legible now and not vaguely annoying by being barely so. the text colour harmonizes better with the background, more and the outline makes it look more crisp.
