Outside of the roasted version I made for last year's Oscar party, I've never managed to make ratatouille that was worth a damn. Don't ask me why.

loracs obviously does not share my ratatouille incompetence.

It was ratatouille that led to my former household making explicit that it was not appropriate to make fun of food you didn't like by calling it names. Because of a certain young person who decided it was "made of RAT. and TOOEY."

They used to make ratatouille about once a month at the housing co-op that I used to be a part of (sometimes I was even one of the cooks for it). The night that ratatouille was made, we usually went out for dinner because I'd never, ever had it taste *good*. Yet, I've had fantastic ratatouille..I just don't know how to make good ratatouille myself.
