sereneOh, look, it's 11:11. I'm gonna use the rest of my lunch half-hour to try to spew out what's up with me lately. I've been feeling a little disconnected; maybe some self-absorption will be good for me. Might post this to WomBAT later; might not.
Just mailed off my registration for the Fat Women's HipHop workshop. It should be fun. I don't much care for HipHop, but I like hanging out with the fat chicks. :-) I think I'll wear the new barely-opaque snakeskin-patterned blouse.
This schedule is taking some getting used to (I get up at 4:30 because I have to be at work by 6am. I'm compulsively early, so it's usually closer to 5:45.), but I'm enjoying all the free time it gives me. They're aware that I don't have much work to do, and they're fine with it. One of these days, I'll keep track of how much of the day is spent actually working. On Thursdays, it might be about three hours; the other days, maybe one.
Eating a jumble of white rice, shiitake mushrooms, and vegetables. It's so yummy.
We're going to Kentucky June 29th. Cute-poet-chick's nephew is getting married, and I'll get a chance to meet her family. Her twin brother will probably be there, as will the sister who raised her and the sister who has never liked her. Should be interesting. Also in attendance will be the boy she grew up with who's like a brother. She's about ten years older and he's a Log Cabin Republican. Oy. He visited us a few months ago, and I'm surprised I didn't hurt myself, what with all the eye-rolling and tongue-biting I did.
I'm feeling worried about marea93. I hope she's okay.
Been having a really nice email correspondence with someone who is very literal, so appears to be very serious, even when I'm pretty sure zie's not being especially straight-faced. Must be how some people feel around me.
I'm going to go get some water and sit with myself for a while. I am realizing how lonely I feel right now, and I want to go give myself a hug or somethin'.
