I know my day didn't start off very well, but it ended much better. Impaired hand and all, I (along with some codeine) got upstairs and helped the Munchkin with her (store)room (after buying pizza and soda and jerky and chips for her for painting-the-(store)room sustenance). We painted lots. Then we came down and took breaks and talked while I watched her draw. Then we painted some more. I LOVED seeing her excited about her room. We played with the guinea pigs and talked about art and life and music, and just enjoyed each other's company. It was so totally awesome. And now she's working on -- her idea -- a *flipbook* for the corner of the next issue of the magazine. How fucking cool is THAT? I have a total auntly crush on this kid today.

Also, my enduring crush on someotherguy continues unabated. He's the hero of this particular revolution, honest, and I have no idea how I will ever repay him for the amazing help he's given in the past few days. He's worn out from all he's been doing for me lately, it's clear, but he still went up without being asked and did some painting, taping, and vacuuming in the (store)room so that things would go faster for me and the kid. I love him so much.
