Aw. :( But they still sound good even if you can't understand (I remember ;)!
They have a new album coming out in the spring, btw. It's going to be rockier, so I'm not sure it'll be your thing, but I will write a review once I've heard it.
Oh, "blame" in a good way. I love learning languages.
They're the only non-English-lyrics music I listen to and enjoy. I was the resident freak in music school for not liking opera, but a large reason for why I didn't was because I generally dislike music whose lyrics I can't understand. Lyrics are usually the thing for me. Maybe it's because I saw them singing in those Counting Crows clips first, but I deeply enjoy their music, even without understanding a word. I'm just pretty sure I'd like it even more if I could sing along, and not just phonetically. I especially would love to know what "Labrador" is saying (that's not a request for a translation).
"Labrador" is a sad song about the death of a dog and the mirroring of that death in the decaying relationship of the dog's owners. Not for the faint of heart!
