I did it twice this month; forgot about my anniversary until it was either over or almost. Eight years with two very indulgent men who really love me must have turned my brain to mush.

Eight years ago this afternoon, I was arguing with cute-poet-chick about whether my meeting with james_huber that night was a date. It really wasn't, as far as I was concerned, but by the end of the night, we were definitely dating. Life happens like that sometimes. Lucky me.

I and my partners aren't big on anniversaries; I think I could work out what mine are with each of them, but at least once cattitude and I turned out to have incompatible memories on the subject. Not just "does that count?" but "when exactly did that happen?" a question that I can ignore for most purposes but seems important for anniversaries.

Yeah. I don't actually care about holidays/birthdays/anniversaries, but we usually note them if we remember (but don't often do gifts, etc.). One of the ways the boys are perfect for me is they don't care, either. :-) Guy forgot this year, as did I.

I meant to say, "but I do usually remember those kinds of things, even if I don't do anything about them."

Oh, and one more fun thing. We met at a meeting that happens on the last Tuesday of the month, so the date of our anniversary changes every year, because we "celebrate" it on the last Tuesday in January.
