I have a week to clean! Eeek!
Apr. 28th, 2004 10:35 pmHousewarming in two stages:
** Stage One, In Which Serene & James Pay For All The Food:
Please come and eat and drink stuff with us while we welcome ourselves to the Bay Area. There will be snackies, fresh-baked bread, foofy coffee drinks and Italian sodas. We don't tend to drink alcohol, but feel free to request and/or bring some, if you like.
Where: Serene & James's place (email serene@serenepages.org for directions and house notes)
When: Saturday, May 8, 2pm-6pm (anyone who wants to stay for dinner afterward (or come to dinner and not the party) is welcome, but it will be whatever serene is in the mood to fix -- Also, if you're coming from a distance and want to stay the night, or if you just feel like hanging out all night, we have a fair amount of crash space and a great fondness for overnight guests.)
What you have to bring: Nothin'. Nada. We will feed you and play geeky music on the stereo. All you really have to do is attempt to contain your boredom when you see how sedate our life really is. :-)
** Stage Two, In Which All Fend For Themselves:
Please come have dim sum with us if you feel like it. If we could afford it, we would pay for everyone, but we can't, so we're not. This is also your chance to see Guy, who won't be at Stage One.
Where: East Village Seafood, 14736 E 14th St., San Leandro, 94578 (I believe they're MSG-free, but I'm not sure -- I will check)
When: Sunday, May 9, 11am
RSVP: For making-reservations purposes, please tell me as soon as possible (at serene@serenepages.org) if you plan to attend. If you don't RSVP, go ahead and show up anyway, but we may have to scoot over and make room for you.
What you have to bring: Around $10-15 for dim sum -- we will order as a group, and split the check evenly. If you cannot afford your share, please tell me -- I would rather buy your meal than have you not come.
Hope you can make it. We're beyond thrilled to be here, and are looking forward to seeing all of you more often.
