thoughts at 2am

sogwife rocks. Tonight (well, last night, I guess, technically), we had a conversation about some difficult thoughts and feelings I've been having, and she held my hand and said loving things and cried with me and understood exactly what I was talking about. Some of it was hard/scary for me to say, and she was perfect in the face of it. I am so lucky.

lcohen was also a calm port in a stormy evening for me. Thank you, lovely girl.

My voice isn't back yet, but I'm amused by how every other word I try to say never makes it out of my mouth.

Went to the chocolate tasting Saturday night and had a marvelous time. People seemed to like my toffee, which made me proud, and my outfit, which made me feel sexy. We talked about how hot one of the dancers was. Over and over. Not until much later did we find out we were sharing a table with her *parents*! Saw mactavish and tenacious_snail and the_ogre and a very hot lingerie model (7patches) and a wayhot eeyore_grrl and cassidyrose and tons of other friends. I love getting a chance to see people I don't see enough of.

Have been in something of a hibernation lately, due mostly to low physical energy and a feeling of wintry cocooning. If I've ignored you, I'm very sorry, and you have my permission to poke me in email or on the phone.

Work is fine. My love life is stellar. Netflix is fun. Staying up late is fun. Going to the movies with stonebender is fun.

Which reminds me -- gotta post about the oscar competition. Gonna send myself an email to remind myself.

I'm not gonna make it to the Meetup tomorrow, due to sounding like I'm about to die of a coughing fit every five minutes, but if you can go, please do. There will be at least one other local poly person there -- a nice man named Don has agreed to greet people, so it would be cool if there were lots of people for him to greet. :-)

I picked a fight with stonebender today. I didn't mean to pick a fight, but I completely misinterpreted something he said, and I got hurt and angry, and rather than being a mensch and asking what he meant, I spilled angst all over him. Luckily for me, he listened, I listened, we worked it out, and we still love each other to death. Still, even one argument a year is too much for me. I'm wiped out. Good night, world. *smooooooooch*
