Friday night thing at Serene's

Hey, all,

Feeling a lot better (just tired) now, and if you wanna come hang out tomorrow night (and aren't a brat like lcohen and live too far away), come on over. We will have games (or bring your own) and snacks. Arrive between 5pm and 9pm and stay as late as you want. If you're here by 6ish, you can also join us for dinner, which tomorrow will be a vegetarian (not vegan, but with lots of vegan options) burrito bar. Hope to see some of you.

If you don't know how to get to our place, send me an email at serene@serenepages.org and I will send you directions and contact info. If we know you, we have crash space available. If you can't make it this week, maybe we'll see you next week.

Pound-for-Pound Toffee Party (North Oakland)

When: Feb 20 (Sunday)
Time: 2-5pm
Where: Serene's place

What: Pound-for-Pound Toffee Party

Bring a pound of one of the following, and take home a pound of homemade toffee!

chocolate chips (any kind)
chopped nuts (any kind)
butter (real, salted)

I will either teach you to make it or make it for you, as you please. There will be other snacks and drinks available.

if you're not able to bring a pound of stuff for any reason, you can help with setup or cleanup in exchange for your pound of toffee, or you can pay me for it, but you'll need to let me know ahead of time so I buy enough stuff. We can make three batches of toffee at a time -- if there's time, we can make second batches, which you can get for another pound of stuff or $10 a pound if I provide all the stuff.
