My big events this week.

This Thursday, 7-9pm: Nomad No-mic at Nomad Cafe, featuring our own eeyore_grrl (her bio's at the site, just not sure she wants it linked from here). Very excited! This may be the last, final, ultimate Nomad No-mic, so do come out and listen!

This Friday, 6:30-8:30pm: I'm featuring at Oakland SOUP. (The link is a .pdf of the flyer.) They want me to do a half-hour. I'm writing new stuff, and I'll share some of it, and possibly a chunk of my novel, we'll see.

Come on out and see us, hear us, buy us coffee. :-)

Black beans with onions, cumin, chili powder, garlic. Almost-perfect cornbread (the BH&G "perfect cornbread" with an adjustment to use oil instead of shortening -- also, my cornmeal was coarse, so it was grainier than we're used to, but I liked it). Lots of thirty-nine-cent avocados (thanks, Berkeley Bowl!). Chopped tomato. Salsa.
