Gonna keep this quick, what with the hands and all, but they've had a good rest for a couple of days.

Since my last post:

* Worked 40 hours typing information from a mess (thousands) of pdf files into an Excel spreadsheet. Not a load of fun, but it's work I like, and I've futzed with my chair and keyboard enough that it's not so painful to do it all day long.

* Had a lovely lunch with [livejournal.com profile] stonebender at a place in downtown Oakland that serves really good Vietnamese sandwiches. $2.25 for a lovely sandwich on a crusty fresh roll. Can't beat it.

* Had brunch with [livejournal.com profile] elissaann, her sweetie, [livejournal.com profile] leback and her family, [profile] user & [livejournal.com profile] patgreene, [livejournal.com profile] tenacious_snail & [livejournal.com profile] inflectionpoint, [livejournal.com profile] stonebender & [livejournal.com profile] loracs, and [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy. I wasn't really up for that level of social energy, but I did enjoy seeing folks, and I always love the food at East Village.

* My personal life was stressful this week, but everything's okay.

* My hip is all out of whack. It's never done this before. Yesterday, I could barely walk. Today, I'm much better, but this being-in-pain-all-the-time thing can just stop any minute now.

* Spent a good amount of time hanging out in email and on the phone with the Munchkins, one of whom is making me usericons, which is very fun.

* Took the silly OkCupid test, after dragging my feet forever. Same email address as always.

I have spent the bulk of the day filling out quizzes and profiles on OkCupid. Took me a while to make them believe my email address (serene@serenepages.org) is the correct one, but it's fixed now, so if you're a cupidite, feel free to go snag me if you want me. Er, or something.

(I exaggerate a little. I also fed cats, did laundry, made french toast, took a walk, made brownies, and read a few chapters each of a few books, in my new fun book-decluttering game -- I start reading, and as soon as I'm sure it's crap, out it goes. Anyone want some books I think are crap? Didn't think so.)

Because you were so sweet when I was whining about it, I thought I should tell you that my hip pain is nearly gone. Yay.
