Thank you, firecat, for pointing me to the RSS feed for Paul Campos's Rocky Mountain News columns (it's at paulcampos_rmn, for those of you who want to go look).

He's already my hero, and articles like this are why.

The first time I became crushed out on him, though, was from watching this video.

Home sick from work. Tummyache and stuff kept me up and down most of the night, so when 5am came around and I hadn't yet gotten any significant sleep, I called in sick.

I'll try to get some work done on my contract projects, and maybe a little housework if I feel like it, but I may spend a significant portion of the day sleeping, we'll see. For now, I'm mostly catching up with you folks.

Tokyo metro card

When I was leaving Tokyo, I couldn't find my partially used Metro card (like a BART card) to give to one of our hosts. It still has 1520 yen (about $13) on it. Anyone going to Tokyo any time soon? I can mail it to you. Otherwise, I'll try to see if the folks at the exchange program want to take it for next year, if they don't expire.
