Some notes

1) I have cinnamon rolls in the oven. I have never made cinnamon rolls before. Exciting. [Edit: That is, there are homemade cinnamon-pecan rolls in the oven -- I've made store-bought ones before, but never ones from scratch. I did up the dough in my new bread machine, and they're baking up in the oven. Smells really good! stonebender, there's one each for your household, and one each for mine. :-)]

2) I am typing with two hands!

3) I am gonna be a little late to the gardening workday that starts in five minutes, because the rolls won't be out for 15. I think they'll forgive me when I show up with warm rolls.

4) someotherguy is still sick, but the antibiotics and VICODIN! (laugh now -- "VICODIN!" was the punchline of each of his drug-induced "jokes" last night) are making him better slowly. [Edit: The other popular punchline was "Fue! Fue! Fue!" (Pronounced "Fway! Fway! Fway!")] [2nd Edit: He has a tooth problem that was giving him cold symptoms, on top of his normal autumn allergies, and possibly an actual cold.]

5) There was gonna be a 5, but I forgot what it was.

The cinnamon rolls were only moderately successful. Even after a fair bit more time than the recipe called for, they didn't brown much at all. They're not bad, but I'm going to search for some other recipes and see if I can find one I like.

[Edit: someotherguy says they're perfect, so that's what counts. I don't particularly like even good cinnamon rolls, so I'm no judge. :-)]

someotherguy has posted what I've been calling "the Vicodin email" all day, and it gave me the giggles again. I should give all my partners drugs. ;-)

Can these marriages be saved?

If you know me, you know I don't trash my partners in public. I usually save that for dinner parties. Anyway, we're having some seriously divisive arguments in my family these days, and I really need some advice, or at least some input. I won't promise your input will change things, but I would appreciate some help here.

I hope you can help us. I'm not sure we're ever going to find any common ground on these issues.
