My [livejournal.com profile] incendiaryfood log for the day:

4 pancakes (two while cooking, two at the table -- the ones at the table had butter and syrup)
2 scrambled eggs
1 pistachio
A cup of pistachios and a glass of OJ (I just realized I had a couple glasses of OJ yesterday and didn't write them down)
8 store-bought crab rangoon (3 eaten while still frozen)
The two leftover pancakes, with syrup, no butter
Tomato sandwich (white bread, tomato, mayo -- only ate half; too much mayo)
Water throughout the day
about 10 pods of edamame
More pistachios
Piece of homemade bread with butter
Two bowls of macaroni/broccoli/cheese casserole, plus a few olives, a spoonful of sauteed onions, and a piece each of broccoli and cheese while making the casserole
2 more glasses of OJ
Two bites of [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy's eggnog scone and a cup of decaf coffee with half-and-half and sugar
A bite of [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy's sandwich (with some kind of lunchmeat on it)
yet more pistachios and orange juice -- surely I'm not the only one who goes on jags like this?

So, you remember the Inuyasha costume that [livejournal.com profile] sogwife made for Munchkin The Elder just in time for Halloween? Well, fuck. Zir parents flaked out on zir, and no one was willing to go trick-or-treating with zir. Zie'd been looking forward to it since JULY! I was so angry. Anyway, zie did a little halloweening on zir own (zie's 16, but very childlike, and very excited about such things), but it was no fun without anyone to go with.

I'd like to do something really fun for zir visit in February. Who's up for a costume party the weekend of February 9th? It would be kid-centric, I'd buy all the food, and my nibling would be over-the-moon happy, and perfectly willing to help entertain younger kids while the grown-ups eat and play games and schmooze.

Wanna?

My email post never showed up, but it may show up later, in which case you get two announcements for the price of one. :-)

Tomorrow night is craft night at my place in North Oakland. Bring your crafts or your NaNo novel, work on our crafting stuff (paintable ornaments and paint, beads, yarn & stuff), play board/card games, or just hang with the crafters.

Email if you need directions. Kids are welcome, and will be expected to entertain themselves with crafts or be entertained by the one(s) who brought them.

There will be snacks and drinks. If you have any requests or food issues, feel free to let me know.

We start around 6 and go as late as folks want to stay.

Next craft night will be Monday, November 27th.
