Apr. 20th, 2007 05:21 amYesterday, for some unknown reason, I spent most of the day feeling queasy and wiped out, so I made an executive decision to finish up a work meeting that ended around 5 and take the rest of the evening in bed. I read my trashy murder mystery, slept a little (not a lot), got up a few hours later and hung out with the family for a little bit, sipped a little 7-Up (food had no appeal), then right back into bed.
Of course, that meant I got up at 4 this morning wide awake, but that's okay. I took care of myself, and I feel better. I ate a pear and a bit of Tartex, did some work, caught up on Usenet, and now I shall head *back* to bed *again*, and get up in time for my 9:30 phone meeting. But I feel human again, and I bet I'll be more productive now that I'm not trying to work while feeling like crap.
It's really amazing to me how much resting can affect my whole outlook on life.
