1) Mom is back in the hospital. No details yet. Argh.

2) Migraine is finally just a reminiscent buzz. Yay.

3) I got an email from a publisher I've never worked for (it is a legit publisher). They're doing a survey of what rates freelance copyeditors and proofreaders charge. No idea how they got my name. What do you think? Would you respond?

My mom has stomach cancer. We won't know how bad it is until after her surgery on Monday (to remove her stomach, as far as we know). I'm flying to San Diego tomorrow and I don't know how long I'll be gone. On Sunday, my baby brother is flying in from Puyallup, and he's going to bring me a laptop to use for the duration, so with any luck, I'll be able to keep in touch, but if not, prepare for text-post hell. Hmm, maybe I should learn how to make a voice post from my cellphone.
