News from the isolation room
Mar. 25th, 2009 03:15 pmHome safe -- well, not SAFE as in you can get near me, but I'm safe. :-) Poor
someotherguy had to drive in an unfamiliar, standard-transmission car (thanks,
sogwife!) to get me, and he's stressed to the max, but otherwise, things are going well.
The big dose was a little pill (I hadn't known beforehand whether it was a drink, an injection, or what), and everything went without incident. I even forgot to take a book, so I survived the walk to the hospital. :-)
someotherguy kindly set me up on his laptop with a wireless card, so I'm online, but not on my own computer yet, with my saved mail and such. This may be my chance to catch up on reading, TV, and stuff.
Anyway, hello, I'm radioactive. :-)
Oh, and the kid made me pasta, and she brought me my massive glass of water with a little "I ♥ U" and two loving smiley faces on it.
Without the support system I have, I'd manage. WITH it? I'm golden.
