I'm still having some trouble managing to keep from being too busy for comfort. I'm hoping it will pass after the next few days, when I'm done keeping up with previous commitments (today is our students' graduation reception; tomorrow, helping with some moving at [livejournal.com profile] dbubley's; this weekend, getting the magazine layout finished and getting it to the printer. I hope.).

...or, rather, learning to set the stage for saying no. ;-)

Went to my boss (one of them, anyway) at the Best Job Ever and told her, "I tend to crash around dinnertime these days, so while I'm currently eating and caffeinating so that I have a good chance to make it to the end of the celebration tonight (which goes until 8 including cleanup), I am going to play it by ear, and if I need to, I'm going to bail early."

She, of course, was totally fine with that.

I love my job. I freaking LOVE my job.
