Chin up, charlie!
Aug. 4th, 2011 04:20 amI spent June and July in a pretty high state of crisis management; first, hospice care for Betty and then her death; next, my kid's hospitalization and surgery. This may explain why so far, August is shaping up to be a month in which I have trouble doing more than the bare minimum of getting myself to work and making sure people are fed.
Fortunately, that's really all I am required to do.
Still, I feel like I need a few weeks of down time, and that's just not going to happen. It's time to marshall my powers of polyanning and put a happy face on this: Hey, I am employed (at The Best Job Ever); my family is grieving but lovely and loving; and I have Netflix and the comfy chair. Things are not all bad.
