I don't get the whole big deal, personally. I don't really *know* who has me on/off their friends lists - oh, I check my userinfo page now and then, mostly to see if anyone new has popped up, but ... keeping score?
Yeesh.
(I was gong to say "how junior high," but then I remembered that the demographically average LJ user is probably decades nearer junior high than I am, so I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise.)
I don't pay it much attention, but I laugh at the thought of needing "amnesty" -- why does anyone need me to pick a day to let them off the hook for "defriending" them when I don't care if they do it any other day?
