Outgoing mail including validation email, comment notifications, and livejournal.com email redirection is currently being delayed because of a high volume of mail passing through the LiveJournal mail server.
Many users have reported problems with comments -- comment counts are incorrect, comments are displaying on the wrong posts or not displaying at all, or replying to comments is returning an error message. The problem is being worked on and will be fixed as soon as possible.
