It's the shower/interview meme again!
Feb. 11th, 2004 11:55 am1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
Last time I did this, I was unable to get to all the requests for interviews. This time, I'm going to try harder, but I will only commit to the first five people who ask, so that I don't overwhelm myself.
1. Where have you lived over the course of your life?
Connecticut, Hawaii, California, Washington State, Connecticut again, Pennsylvania, Spain, California again, New York State, California yet again.
2. Does body acceptance also extend to including people who want to diet and be a size 2?
For me, it's not about what people want. I don't have an investment in what people want, or, really, what they do with their own bodies. What I would like to see is for people of all sizes to be allowed to be unapologetic about their size, and not to be discriminated against. Dieting is a whole other question for me -- it's not something I would choose for myself, but I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want with their own bodies. I may think it's something that's unlikely to do them any good, but I don't get to pick what they do with their bodies. I think that a lot of dieting is done because of social pressure, and I can refuse to be a part of that social pressure, but I can't say that any particular individual is making a bad choice, because I'm not that person.
3. What would you least like to do as a way of earning money?
Besides hard, physical labor in the hot sun? Sales. Blech.
4. Who are your sexual heroes?
I don't have any. I haven't ever thought of such a thing, to tell the truth.
5. Describe your dream residence.
Oh, gosh. The compound. Several residences on one large property, with a common courtyard in the middle. Houses for all my chosen family -- one for my mom and the kids, one for
sogwife, one for
stonebender and his family, one for
intenselaura if she felt like moving... In my house, there would be at least four "bedrooms" -- one for me and my partner, one for when the kids stay over, a library, and a guest bedroom. The kitchen would be large and conducive to socializing, as would the library. Lots of light, lots of space, and a feeling of welcome that washes over you when you come in the front door. Hot tub. Completely accessible. Energy efficient. Lots of cool things to do in walking distance.
