serene[I don't have a bay-area-only filter, so please forgive me, those 90% of you who don't live close enough to attend this]
I plan to be at the Berkeley Poetry Slam every Wednesday night from now on, and to sign up to compete whenever I can, so if you're interested in a music/poetry/competition-type atmosphere, come on down to the Starry Plough some time and hang with me (and, sometimes,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
someotherguy and/or stonebender) for a few hours.
This week, I plan to sign up to compete. The special theme this week is going to be "Housing Matters", and I'm working on a piece I may try to slam for that. Otherwise, I'll probably do something a little older; either way, it should be fun, especially if I take a nap first -- this past Wednesday, it didn't end until around midnight. :-)
And if you're thinking it must be weird and hard being at a poetry slam without cute-poet-chick, you're right.
