If there's anything better than canned creamed corn with butter (vegan butter substitute, but it's *good* vegan butter substitute, so who's counting?), at this moment I can't think of it.

(Content is for wimps.)

Fresh peaches & cream corn on the cob steamed with the whole cob dipped in a vat of butter (or vegan butter substitute) in cottage country with the smell of fall in the air.

Saltines are yucky. Can I use Ritz or Club crackers? Crackers without fat are what's-the-point foods for me. :-)

I'm pretty sure that Saltines, unlike matzo, have fat. Not buttery like Ritz or Club, though.

Blackberries and plums dripping with juice, laden with Barbados cream and served with black coffee.

Had it for breakfast. :):)

ooooh.

what's barbados cream?

1 cup heavy cream. 1 cup plain yogurt. Whip them together until heavy but not stiff, put into a container so they've got about six inches diameter to the top, then cover with a thin layer of brown sugar. Let it sit overnight so the sugar can melt into the cream mixture, stir in the morning, and you've got the best topping for berries or other dark fruits that you can imagine.

Frisee salade with grilled prosciutto-wrapped peaches drizzled lightly with room temp goat cheese. oya.

Or just wrap some cantaloupe with non-grilled prosciutto and mangia!

That's pretty good. As is the first perfectly ripe brandywine tomato, preferably in a tomato sammich - tomato and mayo on toasted sourdough for me.

Oh, too true. I could live off canned creamed corn. And Brussel Sprouts. Yes, I'm sick. *winks*
