I have been at [livejournal.com profile] stonebender's since yesterday and have received no webmail, from which I infer that either my webmail is hosed, or I left Eudora on at home, snagging my messages off the server. Either way, if you need to reach me, you can call me here, or send me email at sandravannoy@yahoo.com.

My first week off from having a day job has been, in a word, perfect. Well, okay, I've been in constant pain from the accident, but that's not the perfect part. The perfect part is waking when I want (sure, it's 7am, but that's when my body seems to want to wake up), spending time with my partner, puttering around my house, having lots of down time and writing time, cooking from scratch, and just generally having the exact life I want. Tonight, I go pay for it by working for several hours in my new shit job, but maybe I'll love that, too, and I can just be grateful. If not, what the hell, it is a small price to pay for the schedule, which I adore.

Heard from the insurance company about the total loss amount on my car. It's fair, and I accepted it. I will be able to pay off the small amount (nine payments!) I still owe on the car, and still have some money to make the transition to a lower-paying job much easier. I'll have enough for flying the Munchkins up here for xmas. And I have our share of [livejournal.com profile] sogwife's moving expenses, which makes me really happy! Maybe after the holidays we can start really concentrating on getting her down here.

I really love that when my mom calls me at [livejournal.com profile] stonebender's, she calls him "honey" and they banter through me. It's adorable. I love that they get along well, and that she can see how well he treats me. She has always been ultra-good to my partners. She used to call cute-poet-chick one of her daughters-in-law. I know down deep that this makes me a lucky fuck, and I hope I never take it for granted. Now if I can keep them to their resolve not to talk politics, all will be well.

I'm writing again. I finally have time to sit and breathe, and words are coming out. This feels *good*.

Hope your day is wonderful. [livejournal.com profile] stonebender and I are having a wonderful time -- slumber party last night, and we'll probably go out and about today. Life is good.
