Pear tart thingy

This recipe worked great the first time (for game night) and not so great the second time (for the lesbian book club -- it burned). But it was yummy both times, if you didn't eat the bottom layer the second time.

This (http://www.livejournal.com/users/jessicatasty/9237.html) pear upside-down cake (sort of a pear tarte tatin) is AMAZING, although a bit more involved than your recipe is. It's worth trying out sometime, though. :)
