Okay, made the cranberry sauce. I think there's enough now.

I made this up, and I've made it for years. It's really easy, but the store didn't have my usual ingredients, so I'll see how it turns out. On tasting it just after mixing, it seems it'll be more subtle than usual.

Vegan Onion Dip

1 tub (12 or 16 oz., whatever you find) of vegan sour cream (I usually use Better Than Sour Cream brand, but they didn't have it, so I used Wildwood Soy Sour Cream)
2 T vegan "beef broth" powder (they didn't have it, so I used vegetable broth powder. It's lighter in taste.)
1/4 cup dried onion flakes.

Mix and chill at least 1/2 hour, up to 2 days, before serving.

Next, I'll make spinach dip (just the recipe off the back of the soup mix container), hummus, and more ice cubes, probably. Or I'll go ahead and go to bed. We'll see how I feel. Not gonna make Mama Stamberg's cranberry relish unless I have a burst of energy/time tomorrow.

[livejournal.com profile] stonebender and his partner lent me a big table and some chairs. I went and got tablecloths and napkins. The onliest thing I can think of that we may still need is a mess of forks. I think we only have 10 or so, including salad forks, so I think a run to the store may be in order.

Isn't this exciting? (Maybe not for you, but it is for me.)
