being tossed about like a plastic doll in a wave pool
is not an unpleasant thing
not a ride I can control,
but a ride nonetheless
and it's new, still,
after this long while,
but it's old, too, and the ride is better
because you're tossed about, too

i like the sentiment a lot. the first line sounds horrendous, then you kind of explain it and it makes sense. not so bad. not so good. sort of... there.
