The past couple of days have been lovely.

Lovely things:

Thursday,

sogwife was able to go back to work after being ill (did I mention being in the ER with her? anyway, she was very sick with an infection);

Some stuff we're having difficulty with in our house is feeling like we'll find some solutions; not only that, but

someotherguy and I talked for hours about our feelings around it, and I've never felt safer and more connected than I did at the end of Thursday.

I like my new volunteer job, and I have a little crush on one of the women there, but I'm finding out that she's kinda famous for being so adorable. :-)

Craft night was nice, if not terribly crafty. I did some mending, with

7patches's help. The craft I was going to do turned out to need a dust mask and good ventilation, so I'll do it outside later.

fannyfiga was such a lovely nurse for

7patches -- they're very sweet together.

berkeleyfarm was charming, as ever, and J (who may or may not have an LJ) and

someotherguy's geeking was Oh So Adorable.

sogwife came home from work even though she's having such a good time there that she wouldn't have minded staying -- yay for jobs we love.

I made a lovely polenta and red sauce for dinner. And I ate way more than my share of the shortbread, so that

7patches didn't even get ANY. I suck. Anyway, fun time with nice people.

So now here I am at

stonebender's. We're on our way out to a coffeeshop to read and hang out, and life is good. Up until Thursday, it had been a very difficult week for a lot of reasons, and it's been nice to relax for a few days.
