I have a too-muh. On my thyroid. It's benign, but annoying. Remember when we were young and healthy? Maybe it was just me.

benign is good.

my mother was (is) hypochondriacal about her kidlets, so while i was young and healthy up until about age 15, i could still tell you whether or not you likely had strep and what the warning signs of meningitis were.

THREE THINGS THAT SCARE YOU

Being dead doesn't really scare me, but the process of dying does. I want it to be quick and painless, or no more than a final burst of intense pain in the passing. There are days I'd embrace becoming nothing if I thought I could do it painlessly. If you're nothing you would have no awareness of being nothing as well. Sometimes I just can't stand being aware of stuff.

I watched my mother, who had both rheumatoid, & osteo arthritis with only steroids or aspirin available. When it hit her bad, she would pray to die, and I'd sit there not knowing whether to pray for her or against her wishes. Death was such a release for her.

Now I watch my sister with the bad heart. Every time the phone rings at an odd hour I think that home is calling to tell me she is dead, or that someone else beat her to it. As far as I know they all want to live, so I'm not praying for anybody to die. I'd prefer to die first. It's a selfish preference because I'd choose to never have to be aware of the death of people I love.
