heady stuff, this living
this making do with a thing of indeterminate duration,
this longing

my blood knows you,
knows that it will forever flow in the fabric of the Universe,
knows that you will, too,
your eternity and mine
intertwined
without need for everlasting consciousness,
without need for the mobius self
without need

and you and I
we are alone in our bubble
and you and I
we are never alone
and you and I
are not adrift, though our raft cannot be steered
and you and I
and you and I
and you
and I
are one
