1. Boxers or Briefs?
I go commando nearly all the time. I wear unders for two reasons: I'm on my period (high-cut briefs, either red or black), or I'm wearing something trashy for sex.
2. How did your Drs appt go yesterday?
Frustratingly. Planned Parenthood is out of their league (and funding) on this one. They did give me my pills for free, saving me $500+ a year, but they told me to go to a gynecologist. I can't really afford that, but my partners are going to help. Thanks for asking! *smooch*
3. Who is your favourite hobbit?
Sam's wife at the end of the movie. She's hot. ;-) (But really, I think we're supposed to love Samwise best, and I think I do, but I don't really have a strong feeling about it.)
4. If you had me over for dinner, what would you make to show off your 133t cooking skillz, vegetarian or otherwise?
If I had you over for dinner, first I would rush around in complete maniacal joy because you were here. Then maybe we'd eat after a while. Umm, okay, blushing. Let's see: I would probably cook my mother's stuff (*decidedly* non-vegetarian) because I think that you and I have a similar appreciation for mother-legacy.
5. When and how did you choose "Serene" for your name-of-choice, and what difference, if any, did it make in your life when you started using it?
The first day I got on the 'net -- July 12/13, 1998 -- I had to pick a username on the fly. I contemplated for a second and chose "serene_rebel". Turned out that the chatroom I entered was where I met TOTGA, so I kept the name, and it became what people called me. They truncated it, and I didn't mind how it sounded. I'd always disliked my given name (I don't so much any more), so I just went with it. Really the only change I can point to is the inconvenience of it -- explaining what my real name is, etc. (While I do think it fits me fine, it doesn't feel any more like my "real" name than "Sandra/Sandi" did, and I'm not sure there is a name out there that would feel so.)
