Weekend of Love
May. 16th, 2005 01:29 pmThe weekend was filled with love. Friday night, did the Friday Night Thing (duh) with
someotherguy,
sogwife,
dryadgrl and C,
kwamee, and his sweetie (whose LJ name I don't remember). Feeling a lot better about being in the middle of everyone else's new relationship stuff, but it still takes some energy for me.
Saturday, hung out in Berkeley with
stonebender. SO fun and relaxing. He bought me a cool hat and a lovely dinner. We walked from the flea market to downtown, talking and laughing and being accosted by homeless people. He offered to pay for part of my GYN bill, which was immensely touching. He helped me talk through some of my recent emotional issues, for which I really treasure him. When I got home, got to spend some nice chit-chat time with
dryadgrl, who I really like and really wish I could bestow a million dollars on so she could just relax for a good long time.
Sunday was a planned day away from everything and everyone with
someotherguy. Thanks so much to everyone else for letting us do this, especially to
sogwife, who hung out at her place (with the new iBook that
kwamee bought her) while I reconnected with my boy.
We had breakfast at a local coffee shop, then went (on a whim) to Santa Rosa to visit the Luther Burbank Gardens, Juilliard Park, and Railroad Square. I have a new favorite bug -- these little skimmer things -- and I saw my first green ladybugs. Also lots of fish, no frogs, and a few dragonflies and squirrels. SO fun. So perfect. So relaxing. Walking in the rain together is one of our real joys. Hell, being together anywhere, any time, is a joy. Then home for what I will diplomatically describe as more reconnection time. Another walk, for its own sake and to pick up trashy snacks. Trashy snacks for dinner in front of the DVD player. Lots of talking, lots of love, lots of just being grateful for each other.
Anyway, I feel loved this week. Work may be stressful, money may be scarce, my dick may hurt, etc., but life is good, and the people in my life are so very perfect for me.

Date: 2005-05-17 12:52 am (UTC)You rule!
And I'm sorry somebody came and attacked your journal, though you seem to have taken it with the kind of humor and nonchalance it deserved.
But I thought you should know that over the year or so I've had you friended, I've always been impressed by your honesty, your openness, your generous attitude towards others and the way you live your life the way you want to and seem to be so happy with yourself and your life.
I frequently will mention you to my lj-friends that I know in "real life" as someone who seems to live such a wonderful, interesting life.
Yup.
Just thought you should get some unexpected good feedback from the internet today, too.
Love,
Jennifer
