sereneMy computer is dead. My mom is sending me a disk that may repair it, but I'm not too optimistic. It's not a huge deal, especially since I have (limited) access at work, but it means I don't check my mail as often, I'm not following Usenet at all, and I've gone nomail on most of my lists. It also means there's a chance I have missed emails from people I actually care about. Please give me a heads-up if I owe you email or somethin'. Thanks.
In other news, I had a mostly good weekend, after a difficult start. Got sunburned, learned a new (Cheapass) game, walked a lot with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
someotherguy, ate way more meat than I usually do, made yummy food, spent some good time with sogwife that wasn't just processing our stuff, got a job offer (Ikea -- don't know if I'm taking it), bantered with stonebender and loracs, and so on. My new philosophy this week, as suggested by my wise love someotherguy, has been (to paraphrase) "I'm doing the best I can, and giving what I can, and anyone who has a problem with that can take a number or go away." In the nicest possible way, of course. It's really made the difference for me emotionally.
Off to my really great job. May it last forever, or until I don't love it any more.
